Fresh louisiana ingredients. Following our authentic "sugar house" recipe, we gather sugar cane syrup from our fields along with raw sugar that is fully pasteurized and clarified.

The Spirit of the Bayou. Straight from the heart of Louisiana sugar cane country, comes a new craft spirit-distilled from a mixture of fresh Louisiana molasses and raw unrefined can sugar from local mills.

From the culture to the cuisine,

to the way people live their lives to the fullest and have some fun along the way. It’s from this place, where the sugarcane first came to the USA, that a new spirit was born.


Our brand new spirit, Bayou Rum, handcrafted from the finest Louisiana sugar cane, is ready to be shared with the world. In celebration, we are hosting a Facebook contest for ten (10) lucky fans to spend a free night at L’auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles and attend the opening Liquid Society Party by the Pool as a VIP, as some of the first to experience this new Spirit.

In the Inaugural Toast contest, Bayou Rum invites all Louisiana citizens (21 or older) to raise their glass and submit a commemorative toast to the Spirit of Louisiana. On Bayou Rum’s Facebook page, contestants are asked to write and enter a short (250-character max) toast to the magnificence that is Louisiana and what its Spirit means to them. Once they submit their toast to our entry form, they can then share their toast with friends. Winners will be the top ten toasts that get the most votes on our Facebook page.

In addition to a free night’s stay and accommodation at L’auberge in Lake Charles, the winners also get a VIP invitation to Bayou Rum’s Inaugural Toast Launch Party. The ten winners will be notified by phone and/or email on or about May 13, 2013.
